United India Insurance Company limited commonly known as UIIC / UIICL conducts sevaral recruitment examinations. One of its main exam is for assistants. Those candidates who are preparing for UIIC Assistant Main exam must start their preparation as per syllabus. If they prepare well for the exam, then they can easily Qualify. And if they worked harder, then they might get better marks and increase their chances of getting selected. UIIC Assistant Syllabus 2015 with Exam Pattern
The on-line examination will comprise the following objective type multiple choice tests as stated below :
- Reasoning
- English Language
- Numerical Ability
- General Knowledge
- Computer Knowledge
Every Section will have 40 questions and 50 marks. So Total questions will be 200 carrying 250 marks. The time for the test is 120 minutes. However candidates may have to be at the venue for approximately 180 minutes including the time required for logging in, collection of the call letters, going through the instructions etc. All the questions will be multiple choice. Five options will be shown and candidate have to choose one as answers. For every wrong answer given, 1/4 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
All tests except test of English Language will be provided in English and Hindi.
UIIC Assistant Syllabus 2015
Reasoning : Questions will be asked from analogies, similarities and differences, spatial orientation, spatial visualization, problem solving analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, syllogistic reasoning, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, Symbol series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion.
Numerical Ability: Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, LCM and HCF, Ages Problem and Date Interpretation question like Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart.
English language: Verb, preposition, adverb, subject verb agreement, Error Correction/ recognition, tenses, sentences rearrangement, fill in the blanks with articles etc., comprehension, answering questions based on unseen passage, vocabulary, synonyms and antonyms usage, vocabulary & grammar, Proficiency in the language.
General Awareness: Questions will be asked from general awareness, current events, questions relating to India and its neighboring countries pertaining to history, culture. geography, economics, general polity, scientific research, insurance etc.
UIIC Assistant Syllabus for Computer Knowledge: This test is designed to test the proficiency of the candidate relating to matters like Basic knowledge of computers, internet, text formatting of the paragraphs, insertion of table, skill to print and save, file transfer, website searching, browsing and downloading, E-mail, use of pen drive, and other software etc. and programmes of accounting, etc. Computer Fundamentals, Windows, MS-Office : Word Processing (MS-Word), Spread Sheet (MS-Excel), Presentation Knowledge (MS-Power Point), MS Access and Usage of Internet Services, Communication Technology, Networking Concepts.
This is the syllabus of UIIC Assistant Exam for all sections. A total time of 2 hours is given to candidates for solving these 200 questions. You can attempt any question from 1 to 200 at any point of time within these 120 minutes.
